As we end the month of November, and head into the last month of 2018, year end is just around the corner for everyone, my own is a bit sooner. This year is the first in a long time I will be taking a much needed break at Christmas, and to do that I plan on clearing my plate long before.
The next few days will be filled with putting together pre-planned and scheduled content to keep my pages updated while I step away from the computer. If I learned anything this past year, it is that self care is so very important and time away from work is crucial. Many of my clients know that photography is not my main source of work, and truthfully it is quite relaxed compared to the rest as I run a dayhome Monday-Friday and in evenings and weekends I take care of elderly.
All are things I enjoy doing, but I am human and need rest as much as anyone else :)
The deadline for any session to take place this year is December 15th to be completed and delivered in time for Christmas, and as of December 24th to January 2nd I will be somewhat off the map personally to spend time with family, and otherwise just resting and recuperating before starting a new year. I will respond to messages as I don't want anyone to feel ignored, however most common questions can be answered within my website www.xposuresbymelony.ca and I encourage you to please visit there first :)
I've got some new plans and ideas in the works and will be starting to roll out a few of them in December, and going full force in January. Feedback is always welcome :)
One of my goals is to dedicate time to a weekly blog post (starting now) as well as make regular updates to my website as I aim to highlight that as my main online presence for my work, information and communication. I may be old school, but when I am searching for a service, my preference is to find a professional website where I can find everything I need in one place, for convenience and well, it just looks good!
I wholeheartedly appreciate having been able to do what I love all these years, but it's time to step it up and take this business to another level :)
